2024 UnitedHealthcare OPG Exhibit reimbursement updates

The UnitedHealthcare Outpatient Procedure Grouper (OPG) Exhibit will be updated on July 1, 2024. 

You can use the OPG Exhibit to determine reimbursement for outpatient procedures. It lists valid CPT®/HCPCS codes and indicates which codes are eligible for reimbursement, along with the grouper level for reimbursable codes.

What’s new for 2024

Please review the updated OPG Exhibits for 2024. Many codes remain the same: 99.98% are assigned to the same grouper level, 0.0% have increased in level assignment and 0.02% have decreased in level assignment.

Ensure you submit complete claims

When billing for outpatient procedures, please ensure you submit complete claims. Include the appropriate CPT, HCPCS and revenue codes. They are required for reimbursement.
