New York: Required cultural health training by Oct. 1
The UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of New York (HCPS) and the New York Department of Health (NYDOH) is requiring all Medicaid health care professionals to take the Think Cultural Health training by Oct. 1.
Training overview
This training will give you an overview of the cultural, health literacy and language needs your patients may have. Once you've taken the training, please send us the documentation so we can mark your training as "completed."

How to verify your training completion
- Download the roster, fill out the requested information and email it to our Cultural Competence team
- Emailing your name, National Provider Identifier (NPI) number, address and the date you completed the training to our Cultural Competence team with the subject line Think Cultural Health training
You only need a single point of contact to verify that you, and other health care professionals at your practice, have completed the training.
