District of Columbia Medicaid: View medical policy for skin and soft tissue substitutes

Our skin and soft tissue substitutes medical policy for UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of District of Columbia members outlines the coverage criteria for claims related to those services.

Beginning Dec. 1, 2025, we’ll review medical claims to determine if we’ll cover the skin substitute to be used based on the coverage criteria outlined in the skin and soft tissue substitute policy. If the coverage criteria are not met or records are not submitted (if requested), we may deny the claim.
