AARP Hearing Solutions provided by UnitedHealthcare Hearing program enhancements

We are enhancing the AARP® Hearing Solutions™ provided by UnitedHealthcare Hearing program to create more flexibility for AARP members and you. Beginning Aug. 27, 2025, the updated program will:
- Give AARP members access to unbundled pricing
- Align your professional fees to support packages, not hearing aids — emphasizing the value and level of care you provide
How the updates work
Any unauthorized AARP opportunity that exists prior to Aug. 27, 2025, will remain active but the associated products will be removed.
To continue effectively supporting members, you will need to update your recommendation and select the support package.
Improving patient conversations
AARP members who make online appointment requests will now have the option to share their hearing aid level with you. This may help you plan the conversation — with a glimpse at the members’ budget and self-assessment of their needs — and leverage your expertise to find the best hearing solution. We know AARP members are savings-focused, so providing a transparent look at pricing prior to an appointment can help create smoother, more informed conversations.
