Effective Jan. 1, 2026, SafeRide Health will provide non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services for UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Texas. Please update your contact information.
All calls and transportation requests should be placed directly with SafeRide Health. Dialysis facilities should coordinate the member’s chair time appointment with SafeRide Health.
Reservations for routine trips should be booked at least 2 business days in advance, and long-distance trips require 5 business day notice. Reservations can be made after Dec. 15, 2025, for dates of service on or after Jan. 1, 2026.
NEMT provides eligible members with transportation for all covered health care services including to and from appointments, pharmacies, hospitals and other locations.
The following Texas Medicaid managed care programs are eligible for NEMT services:
Texas Medicaid, CHIP and dual special needs plan (D-SNP) eligible members may receive transportation through value-added services (VAS).
