Verify a new tax ID number

Need to verify a new tax ID number for your portal account?

If you need to add an additional tax ID number (TIN) to your existing One Healthcare ID for UnitedHealthcare Provider Portal or API Marketplace account, you’ll need to complete the following steps.

Be sure to have the PDF version of your latest W-9 tax form and documentation to prove your primary practice location address.

Register your TIN with UnitedHealthcare

Submit a claim if you haven't already done so
The approval process after the claim has been submitted can take up to 10 days.

Add new TIN to your account
If verified, add TIN to your existing account.*

Join our network
Once approved in the portal, use Onboard Pro to join our network.

*For API Marketplace, contact your API Marketplace consultant to add TIN to your account.

Check TIN verification status

If you submitted your TIN for verification, you can check the status any time by viewing your application.
